In 2000 an Economic Impact Analysis calculated the Truckee Tahoe Airport has a $10.4 million dollar impact on our economy annually. The airport creates an economic ripple effect. As visitors fly in to visit our area, local businesses benefit first. This ripple extends outward to regional business and industry in the surrounding areas.
